Day Plan Camp days start at 9 am and end at 4 pm. Drop-off and sign-in is at Strathcona Park and Millcroft Park
In the event of inclement weather, the camp will go under cover or indoors as required. Children are under the care of adult supervisors and trained camp counselors. Camper to counselor ratio is 10 to 1.
Based on the activity, children will form groups by age and size and choose their camp name for the week.
No two weeks are the same. Each day, children are exposed to the fundamentals of Cricket and a variety of other sports including but not limited to: Soccer, Football, Volleyball, Racket Sports, Rugby Dodgeball, and Baseball. Sessions start with a warm-up and minor skill and drill development followed by mini-games in that sport. No special equipment is required just light summer apparel and running shoes to participate. Please apply sunscreen to your child for the start of camp.
During the day, children are constantly monitored for dehydration and exhaustion. The intensity of activity is kept in accordance with the heat and breaks are frequent and mandatory.
Lunch is held in the shade or indoors depending on the weather followed by supervised free play. We endeavour to be a peanut-free environment so please pack an appropriate lunch for your child.
Campers wind down the day by recapping some of the key lessons learned followed by free, unstructured play.
